We develop platforms that make chronic care more responsive, more personalised, and more grounded in evidence — in close collaboration with academic medical centres, universities, and clinical partners.
Standard protocols deliver standard outcomes. For many patients with chronic conditions, that is not sufficient. Variation in biology, lifestyle, environment, and motivation means that what works for the population average may not work — or may actively fail — for a given individual.
Lyvup was founded on the conviction that the technology to address this exists, but has not yet been integrated into care in a clinically rigorous, scalable way. Our work is to build that integration — through platforms that measure continuously, reason individually, and guide persistently.
We do this in sustained collaboration with leading research institutions and clinical partners, because the scientific rigour has to match the technical ambition.
Lyvup's platforms are developed in close partnership with academic medical centres, universities, and clinical research institutions — including the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam UMC, TU Delft, and TU Eindhoven. Scientific validation is not a final step — it is part of the development process from the outset.
These are not mission statement abstractions. They reflect the decisions we make in how we build, who we collaborate with, and what we are willing to ship.
A periodic consultation offers a snapshot. Chronic conditions evolve continuously, and so should the care that addresses them. We build systems designed for the interval between appointments, not just for the appointment itself.
Population-level protocols are a starting point, not a destination. Every platform we develop is built around the assumption that individual variation matters — in biology, in behavior, in context — and that care should reflect that variation.
We do not ship interventions that have not been validated. Our development process is embedded in clinical research from the outset — with academic partners, peer-reviewed methodology, and measurable outcomes as the standard, not the aspiration.
We are not building apps. We are building the underlying layer — where biosensors, AI, and digital therapeutics are integrated into a coherent platform that serves patients, clinicians, pharmaceutical partners, and payers simultaneously.
Lyvup is led by its founders and operates in close collaboration with a Scientific Advisory Board that includes active clinicians and researchers from our partner institutions.
"Lyvup's ambition is to be the backbone on which Europe's next generation of chronic care and lifestyle medicine runs — the platform where sensors, AI and digital therapeutics converge into a single layer that works for patients, clinicians, pharma, and payers."
We are building toward a future in which every person with a chronic condition has access to care that is genuinely adapted to them — starting in metabolic and cardiovascular health, and extending into mental health and lifestyle medicine.
The data processed through Lyvup's platforms — from connected wearables, smart devices, and Lyvup's own sensors — includes health information — classified under the GDPR as special category data, requiring a correspondingly higher level of protection. This shapes every architectural and operational decision we make.
